Field Company No.4 Cast Iron Skillet, 6 ¾

6 ¾ inches—Smoother

Field Company No.4 Cast Iron Skillet, 6 ¾ inches—Smoother, Lighter, Made in USA, Vintage Design, Preseasoned

  • SMOOTHER & LIGHTER: Field Company cast iron is machine polished using modern methods to replicate the lighter, smoother cast iron pieces produced during the golden age of vintage American cast iron. It's light enough to maneuver around the stovetop, oven, and grill, while retaining the heft needed for high-heat searing.
  • NATURALLY NONSTICK & NONTOXIC: Field Skillets come pre-seasoned with organic grapeseed oil. As you cook your seasoning will develop a shiny nonstick patina without any toxic chemicals.
  • 100% MADE IN THE USA: Our cast iron is made in American from start to finish and poured using green sand castings—just like the most celebrated American vintage cast iron manufacturers, Griswold and Wagner.
  • WORKS ON ALL COOKTOPS & GRILLS: Compatible with all stovetop burner types, including glass and ceramic induction ranges.
  • SUSTAINABLY PRODUCED & ISO CERTIFIED: Scrap iron is remelted for future pours and sand from the castings is continuously cycled back into production with zero waste. Every iron pour at our foundry is sampled and tested to ensure the highest standards.

What Makes the Field Skillet Special?

Smoother & Lighter

Like the best vintage pans (and unlike the rough, bumpy finish of most modern pans), Field Skillets are machined and polished. This reduces weight and provides a smooth cooking surface.

Nonstick & Nontoxic

A well-seasoned cast iron pan offers a natural nonstick surface without harmful chemicals or engineered coatings. Field Skillets come pre-seasoned with organic grapeseed oil and get better with time and use.

Better Handling

Simple is not easy. We eliminated and refined countless ideas to arrive at an ergonomic handle that feels good in your hand and has more balanced weight for easy maneuvers from stove to oven to table.

Made in the USA to last a lifetime

We stand by our product for life and hope that it becomes one of your favorite tools. Cast iron cookware has a rich history in America—to honor that we make our pans in the USA using iron from US vendors.

Do I Need to Season a Pre-Seasoned Skillet?

The Field Skillet comes coated with just three seasoned layers of grapeseed oil. We focus on baking seasoning into the pan, not on top of it.

You don’t have to oven-season a Field Skillet, or any pre-seasoned cast iron pan; whether you want to is up to you.

The most important thing to do is cook with it often.

Easy Cleaning & Seasoning

Follow these steps every time you cook

1. Wash: Rinse your pan with warm water and use a brush to remove any food. (Soap is optional, but ok to use!)

2. Scour: Scour the cooking surface and walls with a chain mail scrubber to smooth out your existing seasoning.

3. Dry: Heat pan on stove for 3-5 min to evaporate any remaining moisture.

4. Oil: Apply a dab of seasoning oil to your skillet and spread it evenly with a rag or paper towel.

5. Wipe Dry: With a dry towel, wipe the pan to eliminate excess oil, leaving a dry, matte finish.
