Algo 1198 Satellite Ceiling Speaker for use with 8198 Only

The Algo 1198 is designed as an accessory satellite speaker specifically for use with the Algo 8198 PoE+ Ceiling Speaker (required, sold separately, not included). For expanded coverage, up to three Algo 1196 satellite ceiling speakers may be connected to an Algo 8198 ceiling speaker sharing the available 16W of audio power. The Algo 1196 Satellite ceiling speaker when used with the Algo 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker can provide significant cost savings when combined using up to three (3) 1196 satellite speakers. Satellite speakers are connected to the 8198 in a daisy chain fashion using CAT5/CAT6 standard patch cables (wired directly to each other through a daisy chain only, not through network). Each 1196 Satellite Speaker attached is detected by the 8198 IP Speaker automatically and can be monitored for connectivity. The number of attached satellite speakers is displayed in the 8198 web GUI and also visible in the 8300 Supervision Controller, if deployed, sold separately. Identical in appearance and acoustical output to the 8198 IP speaker, the satellite speakers can provide ambient noise response based on the 8198 microphone noise detection and by default automatically adopt the zone and volume settings of the 8198 speaker. The installer should be familiar with configuration and programming of Voice over IP devices via web-based graphical user interface or provisioning. For humid locations, add the optional 8188MEM.
